What gets made
Cakes & Desserts
Every cake here is made to order for one celebration. Nothing on this site is sold from a shelf and nothing is priced in advance, because a cake is quoted from the servings, the design and the date rather than picked from a list.

The rest of the dessert table
Cupcakes, macarons, cookies and small sweets are briefed through the dessert table form, whether you want them alongside a cake or entirely on their own. It asks for the quantities and styling that a quote depends on.
- Cupcakes and cupcake towersIndividual serves that scale cleanly for a large room, and a tiered tower that can stand in for a cutting cake.
- Macarons and macaron towersColour matched to a palette, used as a dessert, a favour or a structural centrepiece in their own right.
- Iced and decorated cookiesHand iced, personalised or branded. Common for corporate events, christenings and as take home favours.
- Cake pops and small sweetsEasy to hand out, easy for children, and useful when the room is standing and not seated.
Two that look similar
Which page is actually yours
A few of these overlap on purpose. Here is the difference in plain terms, so you do not spend twenty minutes deciding between two pages that lead to the same brief.
Birthday or kids birthday?
Kids birthday covers themes, characters and colour for a children's party. Birthday covers milestone numbers and designs made for an adult room. A first birthday sits with kids, even though the styling is usually soft and not bright.
Custom or celebration?
Celebration cakes are for named moments without a category of their own: graduations, retirements, farewells. Custom is the starting point when the design itself is the brief, whatever the occasion happens to be.
Wedding or engagement?
Engagement cakes are usually single tier and stylish, and often the first cake of the wedding story. Wedding cakes bring tiers, structure, tastings, delivery and on site assembly into the job.
Cake or dessert table?
If the cake is the centrepiece and everything else is optional, brief a cake. If the table is the point and the cake is one element on it, brief a dessert table so the quote covers quantities, stands and styling.
Common questions
Before you choose a category
Nothing about the baking, and everything about the brief. A celebration cake is defined by the moment it is for, which is usually a graduation, a retirement, a farewell or a congratulations. A custom cake is defined by the design being built from scratch for you. Most celebration cakes are custom cakes. If the design is the hard part, start from custom cakes. If the occasion is the hard part, start from the occasion.
Start from custom cakes, or go straight to the brief. The category only decides which page you read first. The brief itself asks you to describe the celebration in your own words, and that description is what cake professionals actually respond to.
Yes. Standalone orders are common and there is nothing unusual about wanting a hundred cupcakes and no cake at all. Use the dessert table brief, say what you want and how many, and leave the cake fields blank. It goes to the same people.
One brief covers all of it
Cake, desserts, or both together
Describe the celebration, the servings and the look. Cake professionals who cover your area respond with what they would make and what it would cost.
